Types of Chairs (There’s easily over 50, but here’s quite a few but here’s the basics)

ARMCHAIR

Typically located in the living room, armchairs tend to be used as a statement furniture piece wherever they’re located.

LOUNGE CHAIR

Lounge chairs tend to be lower to the ground than arm chairs and are often paired with an ottoman. Rec rooms or living rooms are the best place for a lounge chair (or outdoors!)

DINING CHAIR / SIDE CHAIR

Traditionally, a proper dining chair has arms where a side chair does not. The two are used in combination, normally, with side chairs along the side of a dining table and armed dining chairs at either head of the table. this bentwood cafe chair is the apex of a great dining chair and pairs beautifully with stone, wood or steel tables.
