Window treatment ideas we love

While window coverings receive far less love than other decor elements, they’re an important part of a well designed space. We see many less-than-ideal choices being made, so we thought a little round-up of our favourite could help you get inspired.

SHEER drapery

Starting from the top with this classic and uber stylish/effective choice for darker rooms. When you’re spare on the size of the window and are seeking to maximize natural light you can go wrong with sheer drapery. They’re not grandma nor played out.

Roman blinds or custom drapes on their own can be perfect. When you combine the two, the result can be striking and completely next level. Depending on the room, you can pair drapes and blinds balancing a bold solid with a pattern or get wild with multipattern combinations. The choices are endless.

VIEW ON TRACK

A simple turn can entirely change your view and the room. This photo is a perfect example how you can customize your curtain’s track to open up your window space. While that window space is opened up you also create a new wall effect with your parked curtains. Simple, smart and beautiful.

GO FULL LAYER

This one is 2.0 level but we think you can handle it. Witness the layers of dramatic floor to ceilings velvet curtains, a screen AND silk drapes. Wowweee is what we have to say about this. If you’re considering this, make sure the scale of your window opening makes sense. If your window isn’t big enough this is going to look very cluttered and just wrong.
